Touch of Elegance was created in 2014 in the beautiful city of Detroit.

We are the leader in the field of wedding planning and design. In 2014 when Touch of Elegance was created, there were not many companies in the wedding designing area. We were one of the very few brave enough to take on this highly skilled job.

We wanted to create a process so that couples would savor every movement to the day they walk down the aisle. Your wedding is no doubt the most memorable day of your life. The days leading up to it should be intimate and a peaceful ride rather than an anxious and stressful experience.

Our team is a creative combination of wedding planners, florists, producers, and designers. We understand how important and personal your wedding day is to you. The stress of designing your dream wedding may sound very cheesy but can take a toll on your mind.

+What is the difference between a wedding planner, wedding coordinator, and wedding designers?

We have discovered throughout the years that many brides and grooms misunderstand the wedding industry roles and responsibility. A wedding planner is a professional who plans the wedding alongside the bride, coordinates the vendor team, helps select a floral designer, other vendor and often partners with them in the wedding design, maps out the budget and timeline and coordinates the entire wedding day and very often the weekend events surrounding the wedding. A wedding coordinator is typically a professional who coordinates the logistics of the wedding day. Those using this title are typically “day of” coordinators, with the extent of their role limited to implementing what the bride has specified. They usually do not help plan the wedding day, although they can be very valuable in problem solving on the wedding day. Wedding designers usually focus on the décor of the event, with all other details being secondary to them. More times than not, these wedding professionals have a floral or decorating background.

+ How many weddings do you take per month?

Each planner takes on a limited number of weddings per year. We only take on Multicultrual, Indian, and Full Weekend weddings twice per month.

+ What is the average budgets you work with?

We work with small to large budgets and guest counts. Anywhere from 25,000 to 500,000 and beyond.

+ Can you come with me to vendor meetings?

Yes. We set up vendor meetings and are more than happy to attend! We consistently work with the best vendors . Networking with vendors is an important part of our job, and we have a growing list of photographers, caterers, bakeries, makeup artists and more to fit your personality, budget and style. With our partial and full planning wedding packages, we attend many of the virtual vendor meetings and assist with the negotiation of all contracts. A significant benefit of hiring an experienced wedding planner is our knowledge of mandatory requirements vendor services and contracts should include. At Touch of Elegance we are relationship based and look forward to strengthening our relationship with our clients and local vendors. These are services included in our partial planning, full planning, and design wedding packages. If you would likeus to attend in person meetings that can be added on to your package.

During your consultation we will asses if and how many assistants you might need for your wedding celebration.
